1953
Barnes de México, S.A. de C.V. was founded in the city of Monterrey N.L. by a group of investors who had a common goal: to manufacture high quality pumping equipment to satisfy the municipal, livestock and domestic markets.
Receiving the technology of Barnes Manufacturing Company from the USA and having a small but experienced team, Barmesa soon distinguished itself by having the most complete line of self-priming pumps and jet pumps in the market.
In a short time, Barmesa products were recognized for their quality and design, assuming the leadership of the jet pumps and self-priming pumps market in Mexico.
1960's
The field required pumping equipment driven by combustion engines, so Barmesa launched high pressure centrifugal engine driven pumps.
1970's
During this decade our product line was further diversified, creating the line of vertical pumps, for sewage, medium pressure centrifuges and hydropneumatic pressure booster systems.
1980's
The eigthies brought a worldwide awareness of the proper use of natural resources. In the industrial field, the handling of liquids became a factor of attention and regulation. Barmesa responded to this with the introduction to the market of the submersible pump for sewage and waste water, which is currently the most accepted alternative for the control of sewage and water drainage with solids in our country.
1990's
The nineties brought a new stage of diversification for the company, with the incorporation of several lines of high efficiency centrifugal pumps for industrial, irrigation and fire fighting equipment. In addition, the submersible line was reinforced with deep well pumps, multi-stage pumps and a greater variety of models for sewage and industrial waste water.
